Laser Treatments in Andover for Veins, Redness, and Skin That Stopped Responding

You’ve probably been hiding it for a while. It might be a cluster of red lines by your nose that concealer only half covers, or veins on your legs that decide what you wear in July. Maybe you already tried a redness serum, or a cheaper laser somewhere else that faded by fall. This time, the difference starts with who is holding the laser. At Level Up Med Spa, a licensed provider operates our Cutera Xeo, and the work is overseen by Dr. MaryAnn Millar, M.D., our Medical Director.

Your first visit is a look at your skin and a conversation about it. Nothing gets booked unless you want it to.

Every Laser Is Built to Hit One Specific Target

Every laser sends light into the skin, and one specific target soaks it up. With veins, that target is the blood inside the vessel. With a laser facial, the treatment targets the layer beneath the surface where collagen is made.

The skin around the target is mostly left alone, so the result depends on a setting chosen for your skin. Laser hair removal, IPL photofacials, and AviClear for acne each have their own place in our full list of medical spa treatments. The rest of this page covers veins and skin texture.

Laser Therapy Starts With Finding Out Which Laser Your Skin Actually Needs

Plenty of people come in knowing something bothers them but unsure which laser will fix it. Redness, a few visible veins, rough texture, and fine lines can all appear on the same face, and each calls for a different setting on the Xeo. Treating them in the wrong order, or with the wrong setting, wastes sessions.

That’s why we start by sorting it out with you. We ask what you’ve already tried, note which concerns bother you most, and decide what to treat first and what can wait. Our laser therapy page walks through what each setting does, so you can come in already knowing your options.

Laser Vein Removal Clears the Red Lines Makeup Keeps Missing

Small red and purple veins on the face tend to gather around the nose, across the cheeks, and along the chin. They usually come from sun, genetics, and plain time, and no cream will close them.

The Xeo sends a pulse of light that the blood in the vessel absorbs. The vessel collapses, and over the next few weeks your body clears it away on its own. Most people head back to work the same day with a little pinkness that fades within hours.

Tiny vessels may clear in one or two sessions, while darker or deeper ones take more. At your consultation, we’ll give you an honest count and walk you through whether laser vein removal is right for your skin.

Spider Vein Treatment Works on the Legs You Stopped Showing in Shorts

Legs are a different job from faces. Spider veins on the thighs, calves, and ankles often appear after pregnancy or years of standing at work, and they lie deeper than facial veins. That means different settings and usually a different number of visits.

There’s also a limit worth knowing about. Large, bulging, or painful veins belong with a vein specialist, and if that’s what we see, we’ll point you to one. For the small surface veins that make you think twice about shorts, spider vein treatment here happens in a private room.

A Laser Facial at Our Andover Office Fits Into a Lunch Break

Laser Genesis, which we also offer as the Red Carpet Facial, gently warms the skin below the surface. That warmth gets collagen working again, and over a series of visits it softens fine lines, calms redness, and makes pores look smaller, all without peeling.

Since there’s no downtime, you can put makeup back on and go straight back to your day. That’s where the name lunchtime laser comes from. People often plan a series of treatments before a wedding or a big event, when they want their skin to look its best. When you come in, ask about a laser facial, and we’ll map out how many sessions fit your goals.

Questions People Ask Before Their First Laser Session

Each pulse stings for a split second, a lot like a rubber band snapping against your skin. Vein work tends to sting more than a laser facial, which mostly feels warm. Your provider checks in with you throughout and can pause whenever you need a break.

That's a fair worry, and it's the right thing to ask anywhere you book. The Xeo's settings can be adjusted for different skin tones, which is why we check your skin type before we set anything. Burns and dark marks tend to happen when a setting doesn't match the person in the chair.

Try to stay out of the sun and skip self-tanner in the weeks before your visit, since tanned skin changes how the laser has to be set. It also helps us know about any medications or skin products you use, because some can make your skin more sensitive to light. Beyond that, just come in with clean skin and your questions.

Most changes show up gradually over several weeks, because your skin does the real work after each session. Wearing sunscreen in between helps the results hold. If new veins appear years later, they can be treated then.

We're a cash-pay practice for every service, so insurance won't pay for your sessions here. You can spread the cost into monthly payments with Cherry financing, and we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and cash.

Bring the vein or the redness that’s been bothering you. We’ll look at it together and tell you honestly whether a laser will help.
